Two Thursdays ago was "National Take Your Kid to Work Day" or "Child" or "Daughters and Sons" or something like that. It can have several names. I go back and forth between liking that it is during the school year and thinking it should be when kids won't miss school. But this post isn't about that.
Gina had an awesome time going to work with Randy!!
She heard about this several years ago but Randy was always wary of taking her into Pittsburgh, and watching her while he tried to work. But this year Gina is 8 and Randy was all for it. (We've since found out that there is an age limit, 8-12 year olds.) His company, PNC, was even going to offer some programs for the kids.
Gina and I put together a special outfit (thank you for hand-me-downs and friendly neighbors!) and she tried to get some sleep. Actually since finding out about it a week before, she got very little sleep :)
The morning of, she and Randy ate breakfast together (something they can't do on a normal weekday). I snapped a few pictures and off they went for their fun day. Gina took her own camera and boy did she take pictures!
